My Story

From an early age, Dr. Anthony Luongo was fascinated by the world of vision. Growing up in a military family that valued hard work and giving back, he has always sought out ways to be in service of others. This passion led him to pursue a career in optometry, where he could combine his love for science and the visual system with his desire to help others see the world more clearly.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Oklahoma College of Optometry and was featured in Vision Monday magazine as one of the country's top graduates. Dr. Luongo completed his externship at the Oklahoma Medical Eye Group and his clinical training includes all areas of ocular disease with a growing expertise in contact lens fittings.​

As a self-proclaimed "small town" guy, he is proud to bring more than a decade of clinical experience to his wife's hometown community. He is honored to continue the tradition of eye care excellence started by Dr. Steve Garant here at Thunder Bay Eye Care more than 20 years ago.

In his free time, Dr. Luongo enjoys exploring the great Northern Michigan outdoors, cooking for others, and spending quality time with family and friends. He believes that clear vision enhances not just how we see the world, but how we experience it.

With a blend of expertise, compassion, and a genuine love for helping others, Dr. Anthony Luongo is committed to making a lasting impact in the field of optometry, one patient at a time.
